United Kairali Exports Private Limited is tucked away in Ooramana. We actually work out of a house, which is Padisseril (H), located at I/40. It makes the whole thing feel a lot more personal than a typical office block. Being in a post office area like Ooramana means it’s quite peaceful, though we do get our fair share of work coming through the doors. We focus on exports, which means we spend a lot of time thinking about where things are going and when they will get there. The house has been converted to hold our equipment and all the files we need. It’s a family-style environment here. We don’t have strict corporate rules or anything like that. If someone needs a break, they take one. We mostly just focus on getting the jobs finished on time. The surrounding area is very green, which is nice when you need to step outside for some fresh air. It’s a long way from the busy streets of Cochin, and we prefer it that way. We know the postman and the neighbors quite well. Sometimes work gets a bit slow, and other times it’s a total scramble to get everything packed, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our work properly from our small corner of the world.
