We run Promatas Infra And Interiors Private Limited out of Chirayil House. It’s located in Vazhakkala South, near the Kakkanad area. It is essentially a home office, which makes things a lot simpler for us. We do a variety of work including infrastructure projects and interior design. It keeps our schedule very full. Kakkanad has changed so much lately with all the new IT buildings and apartments going up everywhere you look. We have seen the whole landscape transform over the years. Our work is just our way of being involved in all that building work. We aren't a massive company with a bunch of fancy titles. It is just a small, dedicated group of us. We spend a lot of time sitting around a big table trying to solve problems for the people we work for. Sometimes it’s a small renovation and other times it’s a much bigger task. We don't have a polished way of talking to clients. We just tell them what we think will work and what the cost will be. It is very straightforward. Being in Vazhakkala is good because we are close enough to the action but it is still relatively quiet. We spend most of our time on our phones talking to suppliers and making sure things are on track. It involves a lot of juggling, but that’s just part of the job. We just like seeing a space become something useful for someone who needs it. That’s why we do this.
