Martiz Spice Exports Private Limited is down in Kannamaly, which is a coastal area near Ernakulam. Our place is called Denma Cottage, Door number C.P 11/336. If you know Cheriyakadavu, you know it’s right by the water. Being a spice export company, the air around here sometimes smells like the stuff we handle. It’s a small cottage, not a big industrial warehouse. We do a lot of our coordination from this little spot. The sea is close, so the air is always a bit salty. It’s a very local vibe, far from the high-rise offices in the main Kochi city. We have a lot of crates and bags moving through at times. The neighbors are used to us by now. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us, the spices, and the paperwork. Most of the time we are just busy talking to suppliers or checking the quality of the batches coming in. It’s hard work, but being in Denma Cottage makes it feel a bit more relaxed. We like the community here in Kannamaly. It’s a place where everyone knows everyone. That’s how we run our business too, very straightforward and without any of that corporate talk you find elsewhere. Just a spice business in a cottage by the coast. We keep things moving and stay busy with the local trade. It is what it is, and it works.
