Leen'S Exports

If you find yourself on Jew Town Road in Mattancherry, you’ll find us at 6/92. This is an old part of the city, and the building we are in has that thick-walled, aged feel to it. Leen'S Exports has been operating out of here for quite some time, surrounded by the smell of spices and the sound of tourists walking past the antique shops. Our space is mostly taken up by large wooden crates and piles of packing straw. We do a lot of the wrapping and boxing ourselves right there on the floor. It’s a narrow street, so when we have a big shipment, it’s always a bit of a struggle to get the vehicle close enough to the door. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It's just a place where we come to work every morning, drink some coffee, and see what needs to be sent out. The salt air from the water nearby tends to make things rust if we aren’t careful, so we keep everything tucked away inside. Sometimes we just sit by the open door and watch the world go by when there’s a break in the work. It’s a bit of a dusty environment with all the old stuff moving around, but it’s a good place to be. We just keep our heads down and get the boxes filled and labeled. There is always a lot of tape and string everywhere.
