Working out in the Edayar Industrial Development Area is very different from being in the middle of a city. It is mostly just long rows of factories and big trucks. Our place is in Muppathadom. It gets incredibly humid here, especially when the monsoon rains start and everything stays damp for weeks. Inside the building, things are constantly moving around. We have a few people checking the stock and others who spend all day handling the packing and shipping. We have been at this location for a long time, and the people working here are mostly locals from the nearby villages. We do not have a fancy reception area with a couch. It is all about the floor space where the actual work is happening. You will see boxes piled up everywhere, mostly near the main door. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because the roads into the industrial area are so narrow and difficult to drive. We just take it as it comes. It is a practical environment for us. We do not spend time or money on decorations. Bodygear International is just a place where we show up and put in our hours to make sure everything is ready. We eat our lunch together in a small room in the back. It is a quiet existence, even with the industrial noise. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and then head home.
