Being located near Kadayiruppu Higher Secondary School means we hear the school kids outside quite a bit during the day. This technology centre in Kolenchery is where we spend most of our hours. It’s a large facility, but inside it feels like any other workplace where people are busy with their tasks. There’s a lot of glass and steel around, and the labs are always kept a certain way. We have people coming in and out of the Kadayiruppu area all day, so the gates are usually busy. It’s not a quiet office job; there’s always some machine running or someone moving equipment around. The weather in Kolenchery can get pretty humid, so we’re glad for the shade inside the building. We don’t really do the whole polished corporate thing even though it’s a big company. We’re just regular people working on industrial stuff. Some of us have been here for years and know every corner of the site. Lunchtime is usually when everyone gathers in the canteen to catch up on local news or talk about the traffic on the main road. It’s a straightforward environment. We focus on the technical side of things and don't spend much time on fancy talk. The school nearby is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us for the first time. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily schedule.
