Irsa'S Straightround Media Private Limited

Our place is called Irishibhavan, and it’s right here in Polikkoduvayakal. It’s a quiet area, and being in Valakom suits us just fine because we don’t like the noise of the big cities much. Irsa'S Straightround Media started out because we wanted to do something with cameras and stories. We aren't some massive production house with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us who know each other well. We spend a lot of time talking about how to frame a shot or what music fits a mood. Sometimes we argue about it, but that's just part of the process. The office is really just a part of the house turned into a workspace. It feels comfortable, and we like it that way. We don't wear suits or have scheduled meetings that last for hours. We just talk over tea and get to it. Sometimes the rain here is so loud we have to stop recording, but that's just life in Kerala. We aren't trying to be famous or anything. We just want to make media that feels real and looks okay to the people who watch it. It’s hard work, and the hours are strange, but we wouldn't really want to do anything else right now. If you’re ever out this way in the village, you might see us out with our gear, just trying to get a good shot.
