Dmax Designers

Our office for Dmax Designers is located at Door No. 48/506 in Ponnurunni Vyttila. It’s a decent-sized space where we spend most of our hours sitting in front of screens working on different plans. Vyttila is a crowded part of town, so getting here in the morning can take a bit of time depending on the traffic. We do a lot of drawing and mapping out ideas for buildings or interiors. It isn’t always glamorous work; there is a lot of measuring and double-checking numbers to make sure everything fits. We have a couple of old chairs for visitors and a large table that’s usually covered in paper scraps and coffee mugs. The light in the office is good during the afternoon, which helps when we are looking at fine details. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It’s just us doing the design work and talking to people who walk in with an idea. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought because someone changes their mind, but we just roll with it. The neighborhood of Ponnurunni has a lot of energy, and we like being right in the middle of it. We keep our door open most of the day unless the rain is coming down hard. It’s a practical way to run a design firm, focusing more on the lines on the page than on making the office look like a showroom.
