Shapestudio

Shapestudio is based at the Furniturekumaranasan Junction along the Kaloor-Kadavantra Road. It is a very busy stretch of road and there is always something happening outside. Our space is more of a workshop than a fancy store. There are pieces of wood and different materials spread across the floor most days. We often have the smell of sawdust and varnish lingering in the air. It is a place where things are actually made so it isn't always tidy. We spend a lot of time on our feet moving furniture around or fixing small details. The junction is a good spot because people pass by on their way between Kaloor and Kadavantra all the time. Sometimes people just pop their heads in to see what we are working on. We don't have a big staff or a corporate structure. It is just a few of us who know how to work with our hands. We have been at this location for a while and we have seen many businesses come and go. The Kaloor-Kadavantra Road can be quite a mess during rush hour so we usually stay late to avoid the traffic. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just make things and hope they turn out right. It is a practical life and we are happy to be working in this part of town.
