Elamspice Exports Private Limited

Our business is located up in the hills, specifically in Munnar at New Colony. We are in building 9/742, right in the middle of the Kannan Devan Hills area in Idukki. Since we are in the spice trade, this is a pretty good place to be. We deal with Elamspice Exports and it’s a private limited company, but it feels more like a local warehouse operation. The air up here is cooler than the coast, which is nice for working, but the roads can be a real pain with all the twists and turns when we are trying to move stock. We spend our time checking on batches of spices and making sure they are dried and packed right for export. It’s a lot of smelling different things all day and making sure the quality is what it needs to be. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. It’s mostly just shelves, bags, and people working. Munnar is famous for this kind of stuff, so there is a lot of competition, but we just do our own thing. We have been here in Devikulam for a while and we know the local rhythms. Sometimes the rain stops everything for a day or two, and we just have to wait it out. It’s simple, honest work. The smell of cardamom and pepper gets into your clothes after a while, so we always smell like the warehouse even when we aren't there.
