Coir Mats International Llp is located on M C Road in Pulluvazhi. We’re on the third floor at Door No.14/363. It’s in the Perumbavoor area of Ernakulam. As the name says, we deal with coir mats. It’s a very traditional thing around here, and we’ve stuck with it. The office smells a bit like coconut fiber sometimes, which isn't a bad thing. We spend our time coordinating the production and then getting those mats out to international buyers. It’s a lot of back and forth with the workshops and the shipping companies. We aren't a huge corporation with thousands of employees. We are just a small team trying to keep the trade alive. Perumbavoor is a busy hub for this kind of industry, so we are right where we need to be. We don’t have any slick presentations. We just show people the mats and handle the logistics. It can be a dusty job, and sometimes the orders are huge and we all have to pitch in to get the paperwork finished. It’s a practical business. We don't try to make it sound more exciting than it is. It's about making mats and selling them. We’ve been at this for a bit and we know the ins and outs of the coir market. It’s what we do every day. It's solid work that keeps the local heritage going.
