Associated Engg Corporation

If you head over to East Mohan Nagar, you’ll find us at 298. Associated Engg Corporation has been in this spot for years. The front door is a bit squeaky and the paint is peeling in a few places, but it’s home for us. Inside, it’s mostly metal parts, tools, and the smell of oil. It’s an engineering shop, so it’s never really quiet. There’s always someone grinding something or testing a motor. We have a small office area blocked off with some glass partitions, but the dust still finds its way in. My desk is covered in blueprints and spare bolts that I forgot to put away. We spend our days fixing things or figuring out how to make a part fit. Customers come in with all sorts of broken machinery, and we do our best to help them out. It’s not a place where you’d want to wear a nice shirt because you’re probably going to get a smudge on it. We drink tea out of chipped mugs and talk about the news while we work. The neighborhood is mostly other workshops and small factories, so everyone knows each other. It’s practical work. We don’t have a website that’s updated or any big signs, just the address on the wall. We just show up, do the repairs, and go home when the sun goes down.
