Anna Catering & Decorations

We are out in Alangad, which is a bit quieter than being right in the middle of the city. Anna Catering & Decorations is a small operation that we run mostly from our own premises here. Half the space is taken up by catering equipment and the other half is full of decorative stuff like fabric rolls, plastic flowers, and light fixtures. It can get pretty crowded, especially when we are preparing for a big event on the weekend. My hands are usually busy with something, whether it's fixing a centerpiece or checking the spice levels in a curry. Alangad is a nice community, and we know most of the people who live on our street. Often, neighbors will drop by just to see what we are working on. We don't have a big team of professionals. It’s mostly family and a few local people we hire when things get really busy. The decorations side of things takes a lot of patience, especially untangling lights or ironing out table cloths. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving tables and chairs around in the heat. We don't use any fancy software to manage things; we just have a big notebook where everything gets written down. It’s worked for us so far, and we don't see any reason to change how things are done. Every day is different depending on who is having a party or a small get-together in the village area.
