Instrumental Fusion Orchestra

We are a group of musicians based out of Edapally in Ernakulam. The Instrumental Fusion Orchestra isn't really a company in the traditional sense; we are more like a collective of people who play different instruments. We have violins, flutes, and some electronic stuff too. Our rehearsal space is in Edapally, and that’s where you’ll find us most evenings. It’s a bit of a cramped room with wires everywhere and instrument cases piled up in the corners. We spend a lot of time practicing our sets because playing together takes a lot of coordination. We aren't looking to be famous or anything; we just like playing at local events and festivals around Ernakulam. Sometimes we get hired for weddings or private parties. It’s a lot of lugging heavy equipment in and out of vans. The traffic in Edapally can be a nightmare when we’re trying to get to a show on time. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy office. Most of our work comes from people hearing us play and asking for our number. We just show up, set up our gear, and play our music. It’s a simple life but it’s what we know. Sometimes the sound system at a venue is bad, and we have to scramble to fix it, but that’s just how it goes.
