We operate out of Flat No. 11C in the Grand Medows building. It’s on V T J Enclave Road in Kundanoor. Alda Exports Private Limited isn't your typical office setup; it’s more of a home-office environment. We find it works better for us because we can keep an eye on things at all hours. Kundanoor is a busy junction, but once you turn onto the enclave road, it gets a bit quieter. We handle exports, which involves a lot of coordination between the people making the goods and the ships that carry them. Our flat is usually filled with samples and shipping documents. We don’t have a boardroom or a fancy coffee machine. We just have our laptops and our phones. Sometimes we meet clients in the nearby cafes if we need more space. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy. The view from the 11th floor is actually quite good, you can see the traffic moving towards the city. We spend a lot of time double-checking the lists and making sure the codes are correct for the customs. It’s a lot of detail-oriented work. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just do the work and let the results speak for themselves. It’s a practical way to run a trade business in this part of Kochi. We’ve been here for a while and the location is perfect for reaching the port and the main highways.
