Our office is in Patpar Ganj, specifically at Flat No-402, P No-24 in the CGHS Technology Apartment. Swadhar Saksham Farmer Producer Companylimited is a bit of a mouthful to say, so we usually just keep it simple when we talk to the neighbors. Working out of an apartment building in East Delhi is definitely different than a regular office block. You see families going about their day while we’re inside trying to coordinate with farmers. It’s a lot of coordination. We spend a lot of time on our mobile phones because that’s the only way to reach most of the people we work with. The balcony has a few plants, but they don't look as good as the ones the farmers grow. We have files stacked up in the corner because we haven't found a better place for them yet. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons here. We usually take turns making tea for everyone around four o'clock. There’s no big sign outside, just our name on the door. It’s a quiet way to run a business. We try to be helpful when the farmers call with questions about their produce or the market prices. Most days are just about managing the paperwork and making sure the accounts aren't a mess. It's regular, honest work without any fuss. We just do our bit from this little flat in Delhi.
