In Jamshedpur, everyone knows about the steel industry, and that is basically where we fit in. M.N. Dastur And Company is located at East 455 A /B in the Sonari area. It is a good location, not too far from the main parts of town but far enough that we don't get stuck in the worst of the noise and city traffic. We handle a lot of the technical side of things, like engineering and planning for the big plants around here. Jamshedpur has its own way of doing things, and we have been a part of that community for a long time. The office itself is pretty straightforward—no unnecessary decorations or fancy furniture. We have our desks, our files, and our computers, and that is about all we need to get the job done properly. The people working here are practical and they don't like to waste time with empty talk. We just get to work in the morning and stay until the day's tasks are finished. Sonari is a nice part of town, and we like being based here because it feels like home. Sometimes we walk over to get snacks or talk to the other people working nearby during our lunch break. We don't try to sound like some big corporate machine. We are just a local office full of people who understand how things are built and how to keep projects moving forward. It’s a busy life but we wouldn't have it any other way.
