Kidz Kingdom A Play School

Our place is right here in Bajrangi Bagan, Jamco. Most people in the Telco area know where we are. It is just a small play school for the little ones who live nearby. We open up early in the morning, usually around 8:00, and the noise starts almost immediately. There are plastic chairs, some charts on the walls that we taped up ourselves, and a few mats for the kids to sit on. It is nothing fancy, just a room where children can spend a few hours while their parents are at work. The fans hum all day and sometimes the kids get a bit rowdy, but that is just how it is with three and four-year-olds. We have been in Jamshedpur for a while now. Some of the kids who started here are already in big schools, which is strange to think about. The street outside gets quite busy with traffic during drop-off times. We try to keep things simple. There is a small area for toys and we do a lot of drawing on paper. The water cooler in the corner is probably the most popular spot when it gets hot in the afternoons. We don't have a big playground, just a little space where they can run around for a bit. It’s a regular part of the neighborhood, and we like the routine of it. We just focus on getting through the day and making sure everyone goes home happy.
