Indo English School

This school is located right on the Main Road by the Jaduguda Mines in East Singhbhum. It’s a very specific part of the world to be in. Most of the people around here are connected to the mines in one way or another. Our school serves the children of the workers and the families living in the township. It’s a sturdy building, which you need in a place like this. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the area change over the years. The noise from the road and the nearby industrial activity is just part of the background here. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. The classrooms are basic but they serve their purpose. We have a small yard where the kids can play during their lunch break. It gets a bit dusty because of the location, but we try to keep it clean. The teachers are mostly local people who understand the life of a mining town. We don't have a big corporate office telling us what to do. We just run the school the way it’s always been run. It’s about giving the kids a place to learn their English and math. We see the same faces every day and know most of the parents by name. It’s a tight-knit place. We just keep our heads down and do the work of running a school in a busy industrial area.
