About Delhi Darbar – Industrial Plant & Machines in East Singhbhum
If you walk down toward the Sarkar Building in Sakchi, you’ll find us there. It’s a pretty crowded part of town, so there is always noise and people rushing around outside our doors. We’ve been running Delhi Darbar for a while now and it’s become a bit of a second home for all the staff here. The kitchen gets really hot during the lunch rush, and sometimes it feels like we can’t keep up with the orders, but we manage somehow. We aren't trying to be some five-star place with white tablecloths. We just have simple tables and chairs where people can sit down and eat something decent. The building itself is quite old and has its quirks, like the way the lights flicker sometimes or how the stairs feel a bit narrow. We spend a lot of time prepping in the mornings, chopping things and getting the spices ready so everything tastes right. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but when you see the regular faces coming back every week, it feels okay. Sakchi is a tough place to run a business because there is so much competition, but we just focus on what’s happening in our own kitchen. We usually close up late when the street starts to quiet down a bit. It’s just a normal life for us, cooking and serving and cleaning up to do it all again the next day.
