Our office is located near the Co-Operative Middle in the Sichey area of East Sikkim. Being up here in the hills means the weather can be a bit unpredictable, and we often find ourselves working through thick fog or heavy rain. The building is a simple concrete structure that sits right on the edge of the road. Inside, it’s quite modest. we have a few desks, some sturdy chairs, and a lot of cabinets filled with project files. We do a lot of coordination work for various local groups and businesses around Sichey. It’s the kind of place where people just drop in to have a chat or ask for some help with a document. We always keep a kettle going because a hot cup of tea is essential when the mountain air gets chilly. The view from our back window is actually quite nice, looking out over the valley when the mist clears. We don't have any big corporate signs or fancy lighting. We just use the overhead fluorescent bulbs and whatever sunlight we can get. The team is small, mostly just locals who know the area well. We like the pace of life here. It’s not as fast as the big cities, and we prefer it that way. We just take each day as it comes and try to be useful to the people around us without making any grand promises.
