We are located over at Demthring in Shillong, specifically inside or right next to the Johnson and Sons building. It’s a well-known landmark in this part of town, which makes it easier for people to find us. Being in Shillong, our daily life is pretty much dictated by the weather. If it’s pouring rain, we usually have a slower morning as people wait for the clouds to clear before coming in. Our office isn't very large. It’s just a cozy space with some desks, chairs, and a lot of forms. Since we share the space with the Johnson and Sons setup, it feels more like a community spot than a cold financial office. You’ll often hear the sounds of the street and people chatting nearby. We spend our time helping folks understand their paperwork and making sure all the signatures are in the right places. It’s a lot of sitting and talking, often over a cup of tea that someone brought in. We don’t have a high-tech queuing system; people just come in and we help them when we can. Sometimes we have to explain things a few times because the forms can be a bit confusing, but that’s just part of the day. It’s a bit cramped when it gets busy, but we manage just fine. It’s a simple, local office where we just handle insurance stuff without any big corporate attitude or fancy slogans and complicated processes.
