Pipu Agri Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are located in Village Tabri, at Taniang Tabri’s place. It’s in the East Kameng region, near Seppa. Pipu Agri Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically just us local farmers trying to work together. Farming in Tabri is what most of us have always done. We don't have much in the way of fancy equipment. A lot of the work is still done the old way, with hands and simple tools. We set this company up to try and make things a bit more official. It's not always easy to manage, especially since we are all busy with our own fields too. We meet up when we can to talk about what to plant next or how to get better prices. The weather in West Kameng is always a factor. One day it’s fine, the next it’s pouring down. We spend a lot of time worrying about the crops and the soil. The village is small, so everyone knows what everyone else is doing anyway. There is no point in trying to sound like a big city business. We are just trying to keep the farming tradition going here in Arunachal. It’s hard work, and the pay isn't always great, but it’s what we know. We just keep at it, season after season, hoping the harvest is good and the roads stay open. It is a long process but we stay with it anyway.
