Shift Engineer

I am based out of Malakapalli, which is a small village in the Tallapudi mandal of West Godavari. My father is Mohanrao, and most people around here know our family, so finding me at my place isn't too difficult. I work as a shift engineer, which means my hours can be a bit all over the place depending on what needs to be done. It is a quiet area, mostly surrounded by green fields and the rhythm of rural life. Working in engineering here is different than in the big cities. You have to be more practical and ready to handle things on your own. I don't have a big staff or a flashy office building. It’s just me working from G, my home base. The dust from the local roads gets into everything, but that’s just part of living in the countryside. I’ve grown up in West Godavari, so I understand how things work here and what the people need. If a neighbor has a problem or if there is a breakdown at a nearby site, they know they can come find me. I don't use a lot of big words or try to act like I'm more important than I am. I just do the work that needs doing. Every shift is a bit different, and I just take it as it comes. It is about keeping the local machinery going and making sure I do a good job for the folks who count on me. It’s a simple, steady life out here in Malakapalli.
