Rk Engineering

Rk Engineering is located right near the bypass in Mandapeta. Being so close to the main road means there’s a lot of noise from the passing lorries, but it makes it easy for people to drop off materials for us to work on. The workshop is mostly open-air with a tin roof. When it rains, you can barely hear yourself talk over the sound of the water hitting the metal. We’ve got various tools and welding machines scattered around the floor. It’s a bit greasy and dusty, which is expected for an engineering shop. We’ve been working out of this spot for quite some time now. The neighborhood knows us as the place near the bypass. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone stops by, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and goes to see what they need. It’s honest work. Sometimes we stay late if a particular job is taking longer than we thought it would. There’s a small tea stall just a few steps away where we take our breaks and talk about the day. The breeze from the open fields across the road helps during the hot summer months. It’s not a polished environment, just a place where things get fixed and fabricated. We don’t bother with much advertising; people just see the sign when they drive past Mandapeta. We just keep our heads down and get the repairs done.
