Annapurna Rice Mill

We are over here at Plot No.D9-17 in Apparaopeta. It’s right near the Shantiniketan High School, so we hear the kids playing during their recess while we work. At Annapurna Rice Mill, the day starts pretty early. Usually, the sun isn’t even fully up when we get the first machines going. There is a lot of dust that comes with milling rice, and you just get used to it after a while. We spend most of our time checking the grain and making sure the hullers are running like they should. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing a belt or cleaning out a jam. It’s just the way it goes with this kind of work. The neighborhood is mostly quiet except for the school and the trucks coming in. People around here know where we are because of the big gates. We don’t do anything fancy, just the basic work of taking the raw paddy and getting it ready. It's a lot of heavy lifting, moving sacks from one corner to the other. By the time evening comes around, we’re usually pretty tired and ready to head home. Apparaopeta is a decent place to be based. We’ve been at this spot for a good bit now and it feels like a second home. There isn't much more to say about it other than it's a regular mill doing regular work every day.
