Alfa English Medium School

If you go down Bank Street in Km Agraharam, you’ll find our school. Amalapuram is a nice place to live and work, and we’ve been part of this community for quite a while. We call it Alfa English Medium School. It’s not a huge place, but we make use of the space we have. The street gets a bit crowded since there are banks and shops around, but it makes things convenient for the parents who work nearby. We teach the regular subjects you’d expect. Most of our staff have been here for years. We aren't into big speeches or fancy brochures. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floors, and wait for the kids to arrive. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, but we manage. Inside, it’s just rows of benches and teachers trying to explain math or science. We use English for the lessons because that’s the requirement. We don’t have much in the way of high-tech gadgets, just the basic things like chalk and textbooks. It’s a simple life here. We see the kids grow up from small children into teenagers before they move on. People in Km Agraharam know where we are if they need to talk to us. We don't spend money on big signs. We just focus on the daily routine of running a school in a small town. It’s steady work and we’re glad to be doing it.
