Vineet General Store

Our store is at 117/118 in Lakshmi Nagar. It’s a general store, so we have a bit of everything squeezed onto the shelves. Vineet General Store is where the locals come for their daily bits and pieces. We carry soap, snacks, flour, and whatever else people might have run out of at home. Lakshmi Nagar is always buzzing, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping for dinner. The aisles are a bit narrow because we try to fit in as much as we can for the customers. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We take turns sitting at the counter. You get to know what people like—who wants which brand of tea or which biscuits the kids prefer after school. We don’t have a fancy computer system; we mostly just remember prices or check the labels on the items. The address 117/118 has become a familiar spot for the people living in the nearby blocks. Sometimes the deliveries arrive all at once and the whole floor is covered in boxes for an hour, making it hard to move. We just work through it and get things onto the shelves. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s practical and it keeps us busy. We like being part of the community here. There’s always someone stopping by for a quick chat while they buy their groceries. It’s just how life is in Lakshmi Nagar. We keep the doors open from early morning until late at night.
