Groceries Impex

Groceries Impex is located at R-49 in the Rita Block of Shakarpur. If you have ever been to Shakarpur, you know how narrow the lanes can get and how crowded it stays throughout the day. We are right in the middle of all that action. Our place is usually packed to the ceiling with bags and crates, and there is barely enough room to walk sometimes. It is a constant cycle of unloading and loading, and the bell on the door never seems to stop ringing. We handle a lot of different goods, and the inventory changes pretty fast, so we are always counting and re-counting what we have in stock. It is a bit chaotic, but we have a system that works for us. The office part is just a desk tucked into a corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. We don't have a lot of staff, so we all pitch in with the heavy lifting. The neighbors are mostly other traders and families living in the block, so there is always someone to chat with on the street. It is a very busy, very real part of the city to work in. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by flashlight, but we just keep going. It is not a glamorous job, but it is steady and it keeps us moving from morning until late at night.
