Unicorn Engg. is tucked away in the Chavla Complex at A-215 in Shakarpur. If you come by, you’ll probably hear us before you see us because there is always some kind of machine running or metal being moved around. It is a practical sort of place where we deal with various engineering bits and pieces. We have tools scattered on the workbenches and the floor is usually covered in a bit of metal dust or grease. That is just how a workshop is supposed to look when people are actually working. We spend a lot of our time looking at diagrams or trying to figure out why a particular part isn't fitting the way it should. It can be frustrating when things don't go right the first time, but we just keep at it until it works. The air in Shakarpur is always thick, and our shop can get quite warm during the summer months, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. We aren't interested in looking like a corporate office with shiny floors. We just want to make sure the things we build or fix are solid and do what they are supposed to do. Sometimes locals drop in just to ask for a small repair on something they own, and we help out if we can. It is a busy life with lots of grease on our hands, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
