Shri Ganesh Travels

You can find us over at 154 A, Pkt-2, Ph-3 in Mayur Vihar. Shri Ganesh Travels has been operating out of this spot for a good bit of time. Mayur Vihar is a massive residential area, so we get a lot of local folks dropping by. The office isn’t huge, just enough space for a few chairs and the computers we use to look up routes and timings. It gets pretty busy in the mornings when the phones start ringing. We spend a lot of time talking about bus schedules and train tickets. It’s mostly just us trying to keep everything organized. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to apologize to whoever is waiting. There’s no big philosophy behind it; we just help people get where they need to go. The walls are a bit plain, maybe a map or two pinned up. We don’t have a fancy waiting lounge or anything like that. Just a bench and some old newspapers usually. The afternoon sun can get quite hot through the front door, so we keep the fan running at full speed. It’s a regular neighborhood business. We know the shopkeepers nearby and they know us. Most days are predictable, which is fine by us. We just keep track of the bookings and make sure the paperwork is filed away correctly. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied. We are just a small part of this busy community.
