Shiv Shankar Enterprises

Shiv Shankar Enterprises is located at Plot No X/5172, specifically Shop No 1 on the ground floor. We are right in the Dharam Singh Market area of Gandhi Nagar Main Road. Shanti Mohalla is right nearby too. It’s a very busy cloth market, so there are always tempos and carts moving around the street. We spend most of our day moving bundles around the shop and checking them. It’s not a very large space, but it works for what we need to do. The floor is concrete and we have some old metal shelves for the paperwork and files. Sometimes the tea guy forgets our order, which is annoying on long days. Gandhi Nagar is always full of dust and noise, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been here since the market was much smaller than it is today. My uncle started this place, and now we just keep it going as best as we can. There’s a lot of shouting from the street vendors right outside our front door. We just focus on the orders we have to get out to people. We don’t have any fancy furniture or anything like that. Just some wooden stools and a big desk where we sit. The light from the front door is usually enough to see by during the afternoon. People stop by to ask for directions quite often because the market is like a maze. We just point them the right way and get back to work.
