Jai Laxmi Traders

We are located at Plot No 9/584 on Subhash Road, specifically in Krishna Gali No 4. It’s a familiar spot if you know the Gandhi Nagar area well. Being near Tikona Park is nice because it gives us a bit of a landmark to tell people when they get lost in the narrow lanes. The gali can get pretty cramped during the peak hours, with carts and people everywhere, but that’s just how it is around here. Our trading office isn't anything special to look at. It’s a functional space with a heavy desk and plenty of ledgers. I usually get in around ten, unlock the gate, and start checking what came in the previous evening. The air in Gandhi Nagar always smells a bit like fabric and tea. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to the other traders nearby. It’s a community where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We don't have fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just try to keep the stock moving and make sure our records are right. Sometimes the rain makes the gali a bit muddy, but we just put some cardboard down and keep going. It’s a long day, usually ending well after the sun goes down, but it’s a living. We’re just regular people trying to run a trading business in a very busy part of town. We stay focused on the work and the daily tasks.
