Satnam Engineers & Fabricators Pvt Ltd is tucked away in R-15 at Ritu Complex in Shakarpur. It isn't a huge, fancy office or anything like that. We spend most of our time in the workshop where there's always the sound of metal being cut or welded. It gets pretty loud and dusty, but that's just part of the job for us. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years, so we know how to handle the heavy iron and steel without much fuss. We don’t have a marketing department writing brochures. Instead, we just talk to the people who walk in with their blueprints or sometimes just a rough idea on a scrap of paper. The traffic in Shakarpur can be a real headache, especially when we are trying to get a delivery truck in or out of the complex. The shop floor is usually covered in metal shavings and tools, and it gets quite hot in the summer with the machines running all day. We do a lot of fabrication work for various local projects. It’s hard, physical work and our hands are rarely clean. Sometimes a measurement is a bit off and we have to start over, but we make sure the final piece fits where it’s supposed to. We just try to do a decent job for a fair price. It’s a simple business, really. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but we just keep our heads down and keep working.
