Shyam Engineering Works

The Patparganj Industrial Area 492 is where you’ll find us. It’s a bit of a dusty spot, especially with all the trucks moving in and out all day, but that’s just how an industrial area is. Shyam Engineering Works has been sitting in this same unit for years. Most of our day is spent around lathes and welding machines. It gets quite loud, so we usually have to shout to hear each other over the grinding. We take on all sorts of metal work and repair jobs for other local businesses nearby. It isn’t the cleanest job, our hands are usually covered in grease by ten in the morning, but we like the work. There’s a certain feeling of getting a machine running again after it’s been sitting dead on the floor. We don't have a front desk or anything like that. If you come by, you just walk into the main workshop and find one of us. Usually, someone is busy with a torch or measuring out some steel plates. The floor is always covered in metal shavings, no matter how much we sweep. We’ve got a small kettle in the corner for making tea during breaks. It’s a tough environment, but it’s what we know. We just focus on getting the specs right and making sure the parts fit like they’re supposed to. We've been at it a long time.
