Ravi Pan Parlour

Our little shop is over at A-165 in the Jaipur Extension area of Badarpur. It is not much to look at, just a regular pan parlour on the corner of the street. I have been running this place for a good while now and it has become my second home. Most people around Badarpur know the spot because I am always here. We sell a bit of everything that people might need quickly during their day. It is mostly pan, of course, but we keep other things like biscuits and cigarettes too. The morning starts with getting the leaves fresh and making sure the containers are topped up. It is a small space, so I have to keep everything organized or I can't find anything when it gets busy. The street outside can get quite dusty with all the construction and the traffic around this part of town. I spend a lot of time sitting on my small stool watching the world go by outside the door. People stop their bikes, grab what they need, and head off to their jobs. It is a loud neighborhood but it has a lot of life and energy in it. Sometimes the neighbors stop to chat for twenty minutes about nothing in particular while they wait. That is the best part of the day for me. I don't have any big plans for the shop or anything. It is what it is. It pays the bills and keeps me connected to everyone in the extension.
