Our freezers have to run all day and night to keep everything cold. Even when the power goes out, our backup keeps things from melting. If you're looking for the door, it’s number 251/3. Folks usually stop by after work or when they’re heading home with their kids in the evening. A few benches are outside, but mostly people just grab a treat and keep walking. Seeing the same faces every week is one of the better parts of the job. We try our best to keep the popular flavors in stock. Every morning starts with the milk guys dropping off their deliveries. Hearing the crates clatter early in the day is a sound we're used to now. Because the floor gets sticky, we have to mop it almost every hour. This isn't a fancy cafe or anything like that. It's just a regular ice cream parlour for a scoop or a cone. With just a couple of us working the counter, we stay pretty busy. Crowds really pick up on the weekends.
