Midnight

Our place, Midnight, is tucked away in Madhu Vihar Market, right at 35/36. If you know IP Extension or Anand Vihar, you know how busy it gets around here. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes with all the stuff we have to keep on hand, but it works for us. Usually, one of us is there early to open up while the market is still quiet. By noon, it's loud and crowded outside, which we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We handle all sorts of requests. It’s not always easy, and some days are definitely longer than others, especially when we’re finishing up late at night—hence the name, I guess. We aren't fancy people. We just show up, do the work, and go home. People stop by the market for all sorts of things and end up finding us. We don’t do much advertising because most people just hear about us from their cousins or friends in the neighborhood. It’s a practical way to run a business. We keep our records in big ledgers and try to stay on top of the schedule. Sometimes the power goes out in the market, but we keep going. It’s just how things are around here. We like being part of the local scene in Anand Vihar. We always keep a few extra umbrellas for when it rains suddenly.
