Maha Laxmi Dairy

Maha Laxmi Dairy sits near Sai Chowk in the Madhu Vihar area of Patparganj, specifically at C-2/1. Our day starts long before the sun comes up, usually around four in the morning when the milk vans arrive. It is a cold and quiet time, but it is when the most important work happens. We have to get everything ready for the morning rush when people stop by for their daily milk, curd, and paneer. The floor is usually a bit wet from the crates, and there is a constant hum from the large refrigerators we keep running. By the time most people are waking up, we have already been working for hours. We know many of our customers by their faces and what they usually buy—half a kilo of curd or two packets of milk. Being near Sai Chowk means we see a lot of foot traffic throughout the day. We don't have a big corporate setup; it is just a local dairy where we try to keep everything fresh. Sometimes we sit on the plastic crates outside for a quick tea break when the shop is quiet in the afternoon. Patparganj is a busy residential spot, so there is always someone needing something for their kitchen. We just stay focused on keeping the shelves stocked and the milk cold for the neighborhood. It is hard work but it feels good to serve the local families here every morning.
