Jainson Departmental Store

Jainson Departmental Store is a small shop located at Shop No. 5 in the C-Block Market of Surajmal Vihar. We are tucked away in the Anand Vihar area, serving the families who live around here. It’s a typical local store where the shelves are packed from top to bottom. We try to keep a bit of everything, from pulses and spices to soaps and cleaning stuff. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone gets home from work and realizes they forgot to buy milk or bread. We don't have the space of those big supermarkets, so things can be a bit cramped, but we know where everything is hidden. Sometimes we run out of things and have to tell customers to come back tomorrow. It’s just a small family-run type of place. We don't use any fancy barcodes or automated systems for everything; a lot of it is still done by memory and quick math. The market outside can be a bit of a mess with parking, but people still walk over because it’s convenient. We’ve seen the kids in the neighborhood grow up over the years. We just keep the shop open and try to be helpful when someone is looking for a specific brand or item they can't find elsewhere. It is hard work staying on your feet all day, but it is good to be part of the local community in Anand Vihar.
