Gopal Ghee Bhandar

Our shop is located right at Ajmeri Gate 1532, inside the Shiv Ashram building on S P Mukherjee Marg. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how hectic it gets with all the trucks and people moving about. We’ve been sitting here in this corner for a long time now. Ghee is the main thing we handle. We have different size containers stacked up everywhere. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or nice carpets. It’s just a practical shop where we get our work done. Most of the day is spent filling orders and talking to the regulars who have been coming to us for years. We know their families and what they usually buy. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to scramble to get everything sorted out on the shelves. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, honestly. But we keep the doors open and the lights on. People know they can find us here from morning until the evening rush. S P Mukherjee Marg is always loud, so we’ve gotten used to the noise of the traffic while we work. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure everything is in its place. We aren't trying to do anything special, just selling ghee like we always have. It’s a simple life in a busy market, and that’s how we like it.
