Exhibition Design Solutions

At B-31 in the Anand Complex, things usually look a bit like a construction site that never quite finished. We have been running Exhibition Design Solutions from this spot for some time, and the place is mostly filled with wooden blocks, fabric samples, and rolls of paper that get in everyone’s way. The complex itself is always buzzing with people coming and going, so there is never a quiet moment, which I guess fits what we do. Designing for exhibitions means we are always thinking about how things will look when they are finally put together in a big hall somewhere else. Our office is where the messy parts happen. There is a lot of dust from the models we build, and the desks are rarely clean because we are always sketching something new or checking measurements. We aren't the type of people who wear suits to work; usually, it’s just jeans and shirts that might have a bit of glue on them. It’s a practical kind of life here. We spend a lot of time on the phone or staring at screens, trying to make sure a booth won’t fall over when someone leans on it. The light in the afternoon hits the windows in a way that makes it hard to see the monitors, so we usually have the blinds half-pulled. It’s just us, working through the list of projects and making sure things get done by the deadline.
