D R Khurana Tent Decorator & Caterers

The shop for D R Khurana Tent Decorator & Caterers is over at B-7, Patparganj Road in Shiv Puri. We are right opposite Geeta Colony and near Jheel Kurenja, which is a busy part of town. This business is mostly about logistics. We have stacks of folded tents, piles of chairs, and big cooking pots that have seen better days but still work great. It’s a hands-on job. I spend most of my time coordinating where the trucks need to go and making sure the laborers show up on time. It gets very dusty around here, especially when we are moving the heavy carpets. We do a lot of catering too, so there is always a smell of spices or woodsmoke nearby. My clothes usually have a bit of grease or dirt on them by the end of the day. It’s not a fancy office where you sit in the AC. We are out in the sun, hammering stakes into the ground or checking if the buffet tables are level. Sometimes the rain messes up the fabric, or a stove won't light, and we just have to scramble. That’s just how the tent business works. People in Shiv Puri and Jheel Kurenja know us as the local guys who handle the local functions. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just set up the place and cook the food.
