Bright Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at No. 25B - 26A in the West Kantinagar factory area. We are right near the Bhuteshwar Mandir, so that’s the best way to find us if you’re coming for the first time. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a lot of noise from machines and trucks passing by. We do general engineering work, mostly making or fixing small metal parts for machines. It’s the kind of work where you’re going to get your hands dirty. We have a few old lathes and some welding equipment that have seen a lot of use over the years. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, though we try to sweep up at the end of the day. It’s a small team here, just me and a couple of guys I’ve known for a long time. We don’t have a fancy office or a secretary to answer the phones. Usually, if the phone rings, one of us has to turn off a machine to hear it. We don’t bother with glossy brochures or any of that. If someone has a broken part, they bring it over and we see if we can fix it. Sometimes we can’t, and we just tell them that. We open up the shutters early in the morning. The temple nearby is a nice landmark and gives us a sense of place. We just focus on the work in front of us until it's time to go home.
