You can find us at FF-19/B in Lakshmi Nagar. It’s an upper floor unit, so we don’t get a lot of random foot traffic, which is actually kind of nice. Most of the time, the rooms are filled with the sound of machines or just people talking over piles of fabric. We deal with a lot of different materials. Some days the floor is just covered in scraps and threads. We try to sweep up at the end of the day, but it’s a losing battle. My uncle started this place, and I’ve been helping out for a few years now. It gets pretty cramped when we have a big order to finish. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's mostly just tables and racks. Sometimes the light in the back room flickers, and we’ve been meaning to fix it for weeks. The neighborhood is always busy, so finding a place to park nearby is a nightmare. Most people just walk or take a rickshaw. We spend hours looking at colors and checking the stitching on things. It’s tiring work on the eyes. We aren't trying to be some big fashion house. We just make the items, pack them up, and get them sent out. It’s a simple business, really. We just focus on the work in front of us. I usually end up staying late on Fridays to finish the paperwork that piles up on my small wooden desk.
