Anand Paan Shop

Anand Paan Shop is located in Gandhi Nagar, over in the Old Seelampur area at Chand Mohalla 1364061. If you know Gandhi Nagar, you know it’s one of the biggest cloth markets, and it is incredibly crowded almost every day. Our shop is just a small slice of the street in a very busy neighborhood. There are bundles of cloth moving past us all day on people’s heads or on rickshaws. We get a lot of workers from the textile shops who come by during their breaks to get a pan. It’s a place where you can take a five-minute break from the chaos of the market. The shop itself is quite old, and we haven't changed much about it over the years. We have the same jars and the same way of doing things. It gets really hot in the summer months, so we try to keep the shop as cool as we can with a small fan. People stop by to chat for a minute, maybe ask about the news or just complain about the heat. We don’t have a big menu, just the classic types of pan that everyone likes. It’s a lot of standing in a small space, but we are used to it by now. The street is always loud, but our corner feels like a familiar spot for the people who work around here.
