Aggarwal Shakes & Ice Cream Parlour

Aggarwal Shakes & Ice Cream Parlour is over in Mayur Vihar Phase I B 2. We are a small place, mostly just a counter and a bunch of refrigerators and blenders. During the summer months, it gets incredibly busy and the noise of the ice being crushed is constant. We don't have much room for people to sit inside, so you will often see a crowd of people standing on the pavement with their glasses. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can, but when the schools nearby let out, it can be a bit of a struggle to keep up. We don't have any fancy corporate backing; it is just a local business we started to serve the neighborhood. The menu is just written on a board, and we change things based on what fruit is in season. Sometimes a blender breaks down or the power goes out, which is a real problem for an ice cream shop, but we just do what we can to get things fixed. It is a simple life, making cold drinks for people who are hot and tired. We know many of the kids who come here and have seen them get older over the years. We just stay focused on the work and keeping the fridge cold. The floor usually needs a mop halfway through the day because of all the spills. It can get messy when we are rushing around, but that is just how it is here. We are always glad when the weekend comes because the atmosphere gets a bit more relaxed.
