Our school is tucked away on A.G. Church Lane, right off Gurdwara Road in the Benachity area of Durgapur. It’s a lively neighborhood with a mix of different landmarks nearby. The 713213 area is usually quite crowded with people going to the market or the places of worship. Our building isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. Students come in every morning, mostly on foot from the surrounding streets. We have a staff of teachers who have been with us for quite some time. The rooms have the usual stuff like desks, chairs, and a whiteboard. We don't spend much on fancy things; we just focus on the lessons. During the rainy season, the lane can get a bit muddy, so everyone has to be careful walking in. We have a small office where we keep all the student files and handle the daily paperwork. It’s a lot of manual work, keeping track of attendance and grades. The sounds of the neighborhood come right through the windows, but we are all used to it by now. It feels like a very community-oriented place. We aren't some big corporate chain; we are just a local school in Durgapur trying to provide a decent place for students to learn their subjects and pass their exams. It’s just how we operate here every day, making sure the work gets done and the students are actually learning something useful.
