We are right on Trunk Road in Durgapur Steel Town West. The Benachity bus stand is very close, so there’s always people moving around outside. Our shop is full of buckets and baskets. In the early mornings, the place is a bit of a mess with flower stems and leaves all over the floor. We get our flowers early when the dew is still on them. It’s a lot of work to keep everything fresh in the Durgapur heat. We do decorations for various events, mostly local weddings or small parties. It’s not just about the flowers; there’s a lot of bamboo poles and colored cloth involved too. We spend hours tying strings and making sure things don't fall over during the setup. The shop has a constant smell of marigolds and roses. Sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming for people who aren't used to it. We have a small area in the back where we keep the frames and metal tools. Our hands are usually stained from the sap and the dirt from the buckets. It’s not a glamorous job, even if the end result looks nice to the guests. We’ve been near the bus stand for a long time. People know they can find us here if they need something. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just show up at the venue, do the work, and then clear it all away the next day.
