Down at 65, Industrial Estate, the noise is something you just learn to live with after a few days. It’s an older area, and we’ve been part of it for years. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or sand from the molds, and the guys are always moving heavy patterns around. We do a lot of the heavy lifting here, literally. Engineering isn't just sitting at a desk for us; it’s being out there where the metal is actually being worked. The foundry side of things is pretty intense when the furnace is running, and you can feel the heat from the gate. We make all sorts of parts, some big and some small, mostly for factories that need replacements or specific components. The day starts early, usually before the sun is even fully up, to get the machines warmed up. Lunch is usually eaten quick so we can get back to the pour. There’s no big sign out front or anything like that, just the number on the gate. We don't really do much in the way of decorating the office because most of our time is spent on the shop floor anyway. It’s honest work, and it’s messy, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with molten metal and heavy machinery. We’ve seen a lot of neighbors come and go in this estate, but we just keep our heads down and keep working on the next batch of orders.
